Propane Delivered abides by regulations that state Propane Cylinders have a life of 12 years before they need to be rectified for use. Generally re-certification is more costly than the price of a new tank now a days, so in the event your cylinder is older than the 12 years of first put into service, we will be happy to recycle the tank for a small fee.
Yes! propane cylinders do have a shelf life! After 12 years the of first put into service date, the cylinders must be re-certified. Propane Delivered does not re-certify cylinders because it is too costly. We recycle them so that the may come back to life in a different form.
